The Leon Argamasilla Bacardi Award for Excellence

Introduction

_{Leon Argamailla Bacardi, 1941 - 2009}

Leon Argamisilla Bacardi was the Vice President of the Brampton Arts Council for a number of years and is sadly missed. Leon not only helped the Brampton Arts Council but many charities throughout the GTA. In memory of Leon, the Council will be presenting an Award of Excellence. This award will be presented annually to a youth under 18, for an outstanding achievement in any arts discipline.

Eligibility Requirements

Under 18 years of age
Currently affiliated with any BAC member group in good standing for a minimum of 1 year
Nominated by any BAC member group in good standing
- Groups can nominate more than one person
Have not previously won the award
Accomplished an outstanding achievement in any arts discipline
Include your nomination form with back-up documentation (newspaper clippings, video, other media or references)

The decision of the Selection Committee is final.

Awards Presentation

The Brampton Arts Council will present a bursary and plaque annually.
