Jennifer Lowrie
Jen Lowrie hails from Milton, ON. She began experimenting with Frankenjewellery (taking pieces of her mother's jewellery and creating new pieces with it) while in high school. In 2009, she learned about wire working and chainmaille, and hasn't looked back. Her pieces, many of which are inspired by chainmaille, incorporate semi-precious stone beads and seaglass found on the shores of her parents' home province of Newfoundland. Last year at Art in the Open, Jen created many custom pieces for customers, mostly her one-of-a-kind slave bracelets, which are her favourite items to create. Making jewellery is a passion that she is very pleased to be able to share with the public both at craft shows and on her website, http://www.brainofjen.com.
